PAYMENT

When booking a course, payment is taken by The Newsurf Surf School . A declaration form must be filled in and completed before a person can take part in any course. This can be done at the Centre on arrival or if booked online by the required documents link. The Newsurf Surf School do not accept any liability for loss caused by failure to complete the declaration form.

The Newsurf Surf School require 100% of the total course cost when booking. The Newsurf Surf School have the right to cancel a person’s place on the course if full payment is not received. Course reminders will not be sent.

CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES

Any cancellations or changes to your booking must be made in writing and will only be accepted from the date they are received by The Newsurf Surf School. Refunds for cancellations are as follows:

  • 4 weeks or more from Experience start date = full refund, minus £5 booking fee
  • 2-3 weeks before Experience start date = 50% refund, minus £5 booking fee
  • Less than 2 weeks to Experience start date = no refund, minus £5 booking fee

If the booking is changed more than 21 days prior to the Experience, The Newsurf Surf School will make every effort to change the requested booking. Less than 21 days prior to the start, no changes can be made.

In the case where the group size drops in numbers from the original booking we must receive notification of this in due time. If the changes are less than 21 days prior to the lesson you will be responsible for paying the full balance on the original booking.

In the event a lesson is cancelled by us due to dangerous conditions we will endeavor to re-schedule the session with a credit note being issued if this is not possible.

The credit note issued is valid for one year from the date of issue, and only applies to a surf session. It may not be exchanged or used to purchase items in the shop to the value of the voucher.

If you want to learn to surf, surfing minimum age for a group lesson is 8 years, with an ability to swim at least 50m in open water.

PERSONAL INJURY, LOSS & DAMAGE

The Newsurf Surf School assumes no liability in respect of personal injury, loss, damage or third party claims which occur through no fault of its own or its instructors. The Newsurf Surf School cannot accept responsibility for any of the reasons cited above that a person may incur whilst participating in any of the activities unless The Newsurf Surf School can be proven negligent.You accept that you participate at your own risk and you confirm that you have your own insurance to cover any such injury, loss or damage or have chosen not to take out such insurance even though you understand that this is your responsibility. You have declared any medical conditions that may affect yours or others safety whilst participating and accept The Newsurf Surf School do not accept any responsibility for any incident caused by conditions not disclosed.

EQUIPMENT

The Newsurf Surf School equipment will be used for the activity, unless previously agreed. If you should damage or lose any ‘The Newsurf Surf School’ equipment, you agree to inform a member of The Newsurf Surf School staff and understand that you will have to pay for any repairs or replacements.

PRICES

The prices printed on this web site are valid at the time of publication. The Newsurf Surf School the right to increase or reduce any of the prices any time after publication. Any changes will be made clear at the time of booking The Newsurf Surf School reserves the right to cancel or change course dates subject to notification of those persons booked on to the course.

YOUR COMMITMENT

You agree to abide by all decisions and adhere to all instructions that The Newsurf Surf School staff and instructors make whilst under their supervision. This includes sea-related conditions beyond The Newsurf Surf School control (flat days, fog, dangerous sea conditions etc.).
Permission is given for participant’s contact details to be entered into the The Newsurf Surf School database and held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. This information will not be forwarded to third parties.
